Summer Scholars

We extend our warmest thanks to everyone who participated in the second annual Colorado Gives Day!

Thanks to many, many generous friends and supporters, more than $35,000 was contributed to Summer Scholars via givingfirst.org on December 6th! These funds will help Summer Scholars continue to provide our comprehensive after-school and summer learning programs to disadvantaged elementary students in Denver.

Summer Scholars was one of more than 900 non-profit agencies that were part of the campaign to “give where you live.” The generosity of Coloradoans literally overwhelmed the givingfirst website, so Colorado Gives Day was extended for an additional 12 hours. At the end of the day and a half, more than $12 million had been contributed to participating non-profits around the state. An incentive fund provided by 1stBank will increase the value of each gift made on Colorado Gives Day.
