24 Hours to Give Where You Live

Tuesday, December 6th is the perfect day to make an online gift to Summer Scholars… because December 6th is the second annual Colorado Gives Day, when thousands of Colorado citizens will come together to support their favorite non-profit agencies.

Best of all, every donation made that day will be increased, thanks to a generous incentive fund from FirstBank.

Colorado Gives Day was designed to increase philanthropy in Colorado. And the inaugural event certainly did that: While the goal was to raise $1 million for participating non-profits, generous Coloradoans contributed more than $8.7 million to 529 organizations! Thanks to generous friends like you, more than $43,000 was contributed to Summer Scholars.

The second annual Colorado Gives Day is presented by the Community First Foundation and FirstBank. The Community First Foundation is the home of GivingFirst.org, a secure portal for online giving to Summer Scholars and hundreds of other non-profit organizations in Colorado. Because the Community First Foundation pays for card processing fees and transaction fees, 100 percent of gifts made using GivingFirst go to the recipient agency designated by the donor.

The deal will be even better on December 6th, when gifts made via GivingFirst will be supplemented with additional dollars from the Colorado Gives Day Incentive Fund. The incentive fund will be proportionally allocated across all donations received during the 24-hour period, thereby increasing the value of each individual gift.

So mark your calendar now and plan to make an online gift to Summer Scholars on December 6th.
